Zoe Burr is Head of Capacity Building at the MS International Federation (MSIF), a unique global network of over 100 organisations, people affected by MS, volunteers and staff from around the world. MSIF’s mission is to bring the world together to improve the quality of life of everybody affected by MS and to end MS forever.
Zoe joined MSIF in 2006 motivated by her interest in international relations and civil society development. Over the past 11 years Zoe has played a key role in developing MSIF’s capacity building programmes in the MENA region, China and Latin America. With her team she focuses on improving the skills and internal capacity of MS organisations, enabling them to grow and sustain their activities to play a more significant role in supporting people affected by MS in their country.
2017 marks 50 years of the MSIF movement and the start of a new strategy with five ambitious aims; improving scientific understanding and treatments, improving access to treatment, supporting informed decision making, advocating for change and strengthening the global movement.
Together we will tackle the big challenges for people affected by MS in countries rich and poor. Together we’re stronger than MS.
