Professor Ilham Slassi Sennou having obtained the title of Assistant Master in Neurology in 1984 at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Rabat. Dr. Slassi joined the University of Montpellier for training in Neuroimmunology. Holder of a CES in Immunology and a Master in Neuroimmunology, she returned to Morocco where she rejoined the Neurology Department of the UHC Ibn Sina in 1991. She earned her title of Master of Associate Conference in 1992. In 1997, she joined the University Hassan II and the Ibn Rochd UHC of Casablanca and became Head of Neurology Department and subsequently set on neurology residency, structured its teaching discipline and built up a university researchteam.
Prof. Ilham Slassi Sennou is part of various learning societies, associations, committees, she is also a founding member of the Maghreb Federation of Neurology, a member of the Francophone Club MS, a member of The French Academy of Art, Science and letter, a member of the Ethics Committee for Biomedical Research at the Medicine and Pharmacy university of Casablanca, President of the Moroccan Association for the Fight against Muscular Dystrophy (Association Marocaine de Lutte contre les Myopathies) (AMM).
Her clinical interests are inflammatory diseases, nervous system’s autoimmune and infectious diseases, neurological disability management. As such, she has made, framed, and participated in numerous works, trials and clinical publications. She also initiated an associative framework in collaboration with a number of colleagues, multidisciplinary management of muscle diseases and neurological disability, and she also created a neurology Moroccan network.
